I’m martha

ICF certified coach

I’m a certified transformational coach since November 2025, and I have helped over 20 people so far, with more than 100 hours of practice.

I am dedicated to helping men navigate life’s transitions and step confidently into their next chapter.

My own journey – moving to a new country, going through divorce, and adapting to profound change – has given me firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities that come with transformation.

Why I Do This Work

There are two reasons I focus on transformational coaching.

First, I’ve seen how little space men are given to pause and reflect without judgement.

Second, many men are valued for what they provide and not, for who they are.

I believe men deserve:

Space to think

time to reflect

Freedom to question direction

the ability to choose what comes next

Without pressure and judgement.

my mission:

Support men to embark on a life-changing journey and see them embrace their hero’s journey.

my journey to date

I knew, over 20 years ago, that my calling was to become a transformational coach. Communicating with others comes naturally to me and I love to see others thrive and succeed in life.

But back then, pressure and expectation pushed me toward a “safer” path and do what society demanded from women: go to university, get the degree, start the career, get married, have kids… and no, it didn’t end with happily ever after.

After many years of trying to move away from Portugal, I finally arrived in Scotland and found my home. The new start in an unknown place, and facing all the challenges that come with it revoke the the past calling, and this time I decided to listen to it.

All the life experience and skills I’ve gained along the way, from my architecture degree and personal training background, to real estate, and even my involvement in politics, listening to the community and helping shape a better future by influencing policy, voicing goals, and guiding toward results — make me the person I am today.

I have changed careers several times, got married, had children, moved to a new country, got divorced, lived alone for a while before finding a new partner. Even being an activist and standing for election, gave me an insight I would have never thought I would experience.

I, too, have been through several cycles of transformation. It’s scary at the beginning, messy in the middle, and absolutely fabulous once we push through those hard steps and reach our goals.

Now, I am more mature and better equipped than ever to support others through their own transformation.

But it’s my connection to nature, whether climbing Munros, paddleboarding, or cycling through Scotland’s wild landscapes, that keeps me grounded and forward-moving.

From an early age, my father started taking me on walks and I did all the outdoor related courses you can think of: from mountaineering, to climbing, winter skills and orienteering. I even led and coordinated courses. Being outdoors is my second nature and, rain or shine, my absolute necessity.

I’ve lived through some big transformations myself, and I know firsthand it can be lonely.

But I’m here to promise you – it doesn’t have to be.
